Jesus in Agony: My approach

I created this bas-relief, inspired by Veronese’s painting, for the exhibition ‘Regard de Dieu’ (God’s Gaze) organised at the Saint-Charles parish in Marseille in February 2025.

Made of resinous bronze, it enables me to convey the dramatic power and depth of the original scene in relief. I sought to preserve all of Veronese’s pictorial intensity while opening it up to a new experience, where sculpture gives strength, texture and presence to the details.

This unique piece, produced in a limited edition, embodies my desire to create a dialogue between tradition and contemporary creation.
